My Wedding

Sometimes in a person's life, there is an event so profound, that sharing the details of that experience would devalue the experience itself.

But, I've come to a few realizations since then.
  1. I have someone in my life that has promised to love me no matter what. (She was previously under no obligation to do so.)
  2. I have a family that respects me and values me and my opinions, even if they don't agree. I am not afraid to show my true self to them. (For whatever reason, they just accept it)
  3. That yes, mother and martyr sound a lot alike for a very good reason.
  4. Having someone to be responsible to keeps me motivated (and probably out of jail)
  5. I can love someone more than myself
  6. I still don't want kids
  7. Sharing experiences is amazing (and sometimes gives you someone to help fill in the fuzzy spots)
  8. I sleep better at night
  9. It's harder to get up in the morning
  10. I'm still scared that she knows me better than I do.
